COVID-19 Protocols

At Artisan Childcare Center, the health and safety of the children in our care has always been our top priority. Our long-standing health care policy starts with providing a clean, well maintained facility that adheres to the strictest protocols for sanitization and disinfection. This foundation helps us prevent the spread of infectious diseases among a population where transmission is as easy as sharing a toy. With the advent of the Coronavirus, we have implemented the following additional protocols, under the direction of the Department of Early Education and Care with regard to the updated Minimum Health & Safety Standards:

  • Nonessential visitors are not permitted into the center
  • Health notices restricting entry for delivery personnel at entrance points
  • Assisted drop-off/pick-up process to prevent cross-contamination by parents
  • Consistent groupings of children
  • Limited teacher movement between classrooms
  • Daily health screening for all entering the building
  • Mask requirement for all adults on the premises
  • Extended outdoor play time
  • Three mid-day disinfecting periods for all classrooms and common areas
  • Social distancing where appropriate in early education settings
  • Enhanced health guidelines preventing entry of symptomatic individuals

*The Department of Early Education and Care permitted childcare centers in Massachusetts to roll back protocols associated with the Minimum Health & Safety Standards as of May 29, 2021
